I belong to the Congregation of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Betharram. Betharram is a small village and shrine to Our Lady about nine miles outside of Lourdes.

Sixteenth Sunday Year A
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
School has broken up and we are all hopefully looking forward to a holiday or some sort of break. Like the words of creation, “We wish to come to the day or rest!” Ask yourself, “What is a real rest for me?” It may or may not be a physical rest, it may or may not be a mental rest, it may or may not be a spiritual rest, but it may be something that makes you feel whole again or at peace within you. Each to their own. May I simply suggest that when you experience that moment you will pause and say to yourself, “Thank you God for the good things and help me when the challenges come. May I always feel at peace with the Lord, myself and others!”
