Father Anton's Weekly Column
As the Holy Father reminds us that the Lord Jesus showed great love and compassion to those who are poor. Poverty can mean a lack in many areas, fiscal, emotional, spiritual and physical. That is why we have such organisations as CAFOD but also MIND, FOODBANKS, NHS and many other organisations. This weekend’s retiring collections are for CAFOD, money to help people in all sorts of poverty-stricken situations throughout the world.

We are excited to announce a Parish Mission weekend, taking place from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th October 2025. The mission will be led by the Sion Community and promises to be a time of spiritual renewal, reflection, and fellowship for our entire parish family during this Jubilee Year. Throughout the weekend, there will be opportunities for prayer, inspiring teaching, and time to come together socially as a community of faith. Whether you are a long-time member of the parish, or just beginning your journey, you are warmly invited to come along with family, friends, and neighbours!
